Windbreakers Vinyl is not glass and should not be treated as you would treat glass. Extreme care must be taken when cleaning your vinyl windows. Do not use any harsh cleaners or detergents. It is imperative that no formulas containing bleach are used, including professional pressure cleaners. For the best results, your windbreakers need to be cool before washing. Make sure all dust and loose sand or grit has been removed from all areas of the frame. This is best accomplished with the soft brush attachment of your vacuum cleaner. We recommend that you use our vinyl cleaner which has been specially formulated for our vinyl windbreakers or Woolite reduced with water in accordance with the instructions of the Woolite bottle. You may purchase our cleaner from your Custom Window Systems, Inc. dealer. PLEASE NOTE: Vinyl can be easily punctured or cut. Remove all jewelry from your hands and arms before cleaning your windbreakers. PS: The Patio Screen Room has found that using a 4:1 ratio of water and vinegar seems to work just as good and is a lot cheaper. Weather Master Windows For proper operation regarding the sliding up or down motion, spray a light coat of furniture pledge into the right track from top to bottom. If windows still seems hard to slide try spraying a modest amount into the left track about mid way. Only spray about 12 inches in the right deeper track. After spraying slide windows up & down to distribute pledge. Do this twice a year. To remove windows for cleaning move the bottom up mid way or at a comfortable height. Then push window to the left, moving window frame into the deep track until it clears the right side. |
